This amphora is tall and thin with a carrot-shaped body that tapers to a solid spike. The neck is cylindrical leading up to a flared rim. The handles remain fairly close to the neck and tend to peak slightly. They attach below the rim and at the top of the shoulders and are elliptical in section (Garcia Vargas, 1998: Fig 6.3).There is no evidence as yet that this type was ever stamped.
