Survives in two pieces. Short cleft socket fastened to the wooden shaft by thin wound wire, wound in seven rotations across a width of 11mm. Socket tapers to long solid shank of oval section, which decreases slightly from 8 to 7mm over its length. Leads to barbed head with two barbs of rectangular section set close to the shank. The head tapers evenly to a rounded point of circular section. Sand accretions on outer surface throughout; no trace of any organic remains. Now accreted to spearhead SF 864.
