This amphora features a thickened, rounded rim and a cylindrical neck. The handles rise vertically from the rounded shoulder, turning at right angles to meet the neck towards the top, occasionally they are ridged and grooved, though more ovoid in other examples. The body is ovoid, tapering down to a hollow spike. Possibly an imitation of the Dressel 2-4 form (Ramon, 1991; Panella, 2002).
