  • An incomplete iron knife with a rounded end to the narrow tang. The tang widens to a distinct shoulder and a pointed choil. The back is straight and is angled towards the point over the last third; the tip is missing. The line of the edge of the handle is faintly visible at the shoulder. The blade and part of the tang are inlaid on both sides by copper alloy strips. On one side these are long and slightly curved, and continue on to the tang. On the other side there are five straight, shorter strips, with different decorative patterns visible on each one. Each pattern utlises a contrast of light and dark copper alloy. Accreted in sand, with no organic remains.
