  • A complete iron cleat of rectangular shape, pierced by nail holes of circular section towards either end. The cleat is lightly curved in profile throughout. The nails have flat, sub-circular heads and tapering shanks of square section. Both are set at an angle to the cleat, and are parallel with each other. Heavily accreted in sand, with wood remains visible both on the nail shanks and on the top of the cleat. The underside area is obscured by sand.
